Accountant - GL

You will be responsible for various accounting activities and financial reporting as a part of the team at VitalEdge. Your key responsibilities will include: - Creating and processing monthly journal entries related to accruals, prepaids, and other reclassifications, while also maintaining prepaid/deferred schedules. - Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports for both internal and external stakeholders. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies and enhance financial processes. - Participating in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness. - Preparing standard, non-standard, and adjusting journal entries, along with supporting schedules and account reconciliations on balance sheet and income statement line items. - Providing assistance in the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely financial reporting. - Coordinating with internal and external auditors and acting as the primary point of contact for auditor requests. - Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, company procedures, and regulatory requirements. - Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial entries, reports, and summaries. - Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, particularly in tax compliance such as GST/TDS. - Preparation of various Fixed Assets related schedules like Asset Schedules and Lease Related Schedules. Qualifications required for this role include: - Accounting Degree CA with 2-3 years of experience or 6-7 years of experience for MBA/M Com/CA Inter. - Experience in ERP, preferably NetSuite, would be an added advantage. - Proficiency in MS Office applications. - Good written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills. - Proactive and well-organized with the ability to work independently and in a team. - High attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
