Quality Analyst

You will be working as an on-site Software QA Engineer in Jaipur at Dreamcast, a fast-growing software products and digital services company. Your primary responsibility will be to own testing across web, API, and mobile channels in an Agile/CI-CD environment. Here is a breakdown of your role and responsibilities: - Design, author, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and checklists for features across web, API, and mobile platforms. - Develop and maintain automated test suites for regression and smoke testing using frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest. - Perform API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured and validate data flows and error handling across services. - Investigate, report, and track defects in tools like JIRA with clear reproduction steps and drive fixes through verification. - Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure testability and integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines. - Contribute to quality-improvement initiatives such as test automation coverage metrics and continuous improvement of QA processes. Qualifications required for this role include: Must-Have: - 3+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance for web, API, and mobile applications. - Strong manual testing fundamentals and practical experience with test automation using Selenium WebDriver and writing test scripts in Java or Python. - API testing experience using Postman and/or RestAssured, and database validation skills using SQL for backend data verification. Preferred: - Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and version control with Git. - Familiarity with mobile automation tools such as Appium and testing on Android/iOS devices. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using JIRA or similar test management tools.
