Job Description

Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates and project budgets during the planning and design stages. Evaluate tender documents, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and pricing for construction projects. Assist in contract administration, including reviewing terms, preparing documentation, and managing variations. Track project costs, monitor budgets, and generate cost control reports. Conduct site measurements and valuations to ensure accurate billing and payments. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to maintain financial control. Analyze and negotiate subcontractor quotations and manage subcontractor payments. Identify and assess risks related to cost overruns and recommend mitigation strategies. Support claims preparation and resolution, including EOT (Extension of Time) and VO (Variation Orders). Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements related to contracts and construction finances. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software such as CostX, Candy, or Primavera. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Good understanding of construction drawings, methods, and materials. Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills. Knowledge of local construction laws, codes, and procurement procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying. Preferred candidate profile
