QC Specialist

As a Tech Checks Specialist at our company, your role involves performing technical checks on various file types daily to ensure that subtitles conform to industry and Deluxe standards as well as client requirements. Your primary responsibilities include: - Checking that language subtitles align with Deluxe guidelines and specific client requirements. - Cross-referencing subtitles with project-related reference material and implementing necessary instructions for a consistent and error-free final product. - Maintaining high-quality work with less than a 1% error rate to achieve an average quality yield of 99% for all clients. - Updating work trackers accurately to reflect project status. - Ensuring 100% on-time delivery for all clients. - Coordinating with PC and updating Project Notes to address language errors. - Providing feedback to ensure adherence to standard procedures and implement quality measures. - Communicating effectively with internal and external clients and taking ownership of your work. - Following department schedules and guidelines with schedule adherence and attendance. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also: - Mentor and coach newer recruits to meet department quality standards. - Promote teamwork and suggest improvements to subtitling workflows. - Actively participate in job/personal knowledge training programs. - Display eagerness to learn various aspects of the process for individual growth. Your skills and personal attributes should include: - Exceptional audio sensitivity to understand various English accents. - Good comprehension and communication skills. - Broad cultural knowledge and interests. - Detail-oriented, team player with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and good computer and internet knowledge. - Accurate typing speed. - Accountability, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, methodical work approach, and attention to detail.
