QC Chemist – Edible Oil

Job Title: QC Chemist – Edible Oil
Location: KandlaVacancies: 2Experience: 2 to 5 years in edible oil or vanaspati refineryQualification: B.Sc Chemistry or M.Sc Chemistry or Oil Technology

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine testing of crude and refined edible oil
• Check parameters including FFA, IV, PV, moisture, color index and clarity
• Maintain QC logbook, batch reports and retention samples
• Support production with process adjustments based on QC results
• Monitor and record neutralization, bleaching and deodorization quality checks
• Ensure product meets FSSAI and food safety standards
• Prepare COA for dispatch lots and product approval
• Coordinate with refinery and fractionation teams for quality release
• Operate and calibrate lab equipment including spectro, moisture analyzer and titration units
• Maintain hygiene and GMP standards inside laboratory

Skills Required

• Good knowledge of edible oil testing parameters
• Understanding of refinery and vanaspati process quality checkpoints
• Ability to analyze results and suggest corrective actions
• Strong documentation accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety and ISO standards
