QA/QC Engineer

Role Overview

ensuring quality assurance (QA) processes and quality control (QC) inspections

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the QA/QC management system (including QAPs, ITPs, checklists, SOPs).
• Ensure all QA processes comply with ISO standards and company quality policies (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and quality documents for compliance and completeness.

Quality Control & Inspection

• Perform inspections of

  raw materials, structural steel fabrication, PEB components, welding, coatings, and final assembly

  to ensure conformance with design requirements and accepted standards (aligned with PEB and steelwork quality norms).
• Conduct

  on-site assembly & erection inspections

  for PEB/steel structures to verify workmanship, alignment, connections, and tolerances.
• Monitor welding practices, dimensional accuracy, and finishing quality; coordinate NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) as needed.
• Track and enforce corrective actions for non-conforming work, maintain clear Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and ensure timely closure.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain complete QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, NCRs, calibration certificates, and material records.
• Prepare periodic quality reports for project teams and senior management. QA QC Construction
• Assist in compiling quality records for handover and audits.

Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with

  design, production, fabrication, site/erection teams, vendors, and clients

  to ensure alignment on quality requirements and schedules.
• Liaise with third-party inspectors and regulatory authorities for quality inspections and approvals.
• Participate in quality review meetings, site meetings, and audit activities.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements.
• Promote quality awareness and best practices among project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering

  (or related).

• 2-5+ years of QA/QC experience

  in construction, fabrication, or modular & PEB/steel structures.
• Strong knowledge of

  PEB fabrication, steel structures, welding standards, inspection protocols, and construction quality control

  .
• Familiarity with

  ISO 9001 QA/QC processes

  and quality documentation systems.
• Proficiency with quality tools (ITPs, checklists, NCR systems), MS Office, and ERP/quality management platforms.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills

Preferred Attributes

• Certifications such as

  ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, welding/NDT certifications (e.g., API, AWS, CSWIP)

• Experience with

  modular/prefab construction quality management

  .
• Familiarity with applicable

  national/international standards

  for PEB and steel structures.
