As a Structural Engineer with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable Institute and over 12 years of experience, you will be responsible for leading estimation, engineering co-ordination, front end & detailed design of structures/ foundations for large industrial projects. Your previous work in an esteemed engineering office or consultancy should have equipped you with exposure to Indian, US, Euro, and other foreign codes/standards, as well as local practices. Proficiency in 3D modeling and viewing tools such as PDS, Frameworks, S3D, Tekla, Naviswork, SPR, and industry standard Structural and Finite Element Analysis packages like STAAD Pro, GTStrudl, SAP, ETABS, Midas is essential. An advantage would be your exposure to modular/ precast construction and design of Flat slab/Cheese slab. Your major responsibilities will include preparing conceptual studies, designs, reports, proposals, design criteria, specifications, budget, and schedules for projects of varying complexity. Conducting finite element modeling and structural analysis of various steel and concrete structures, reviewing bid analyses, preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, staffing requirements, and reviewing the work of junior team members are key aspects of your role. To excel in this position, you should hold a minimum 4-year degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college, with a preference for candidates with a Master's degree. Your 12+ years of relevant work experience will be crucial. Possessing a broad understanding of major design engineering deliverables, coordinating detailed phases of engineering work, and utilizing standard application programs, computer-aided design, and computer-aided engineering tools are essential skills. You will be expected to coordinate engineering efforts between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, clients, suppliers, and contractors. Understanding engineering planning and control methods, industry or regulatory codes and standards, and roles played by other disciplines is vital. Experience in leading a team of designers in EPC and/or big FEED projects, assuring quality of design, and planning, assigning, guiding, and monitoring work of team members will be part of your responsibilities. Your experience in design of Flat slabs, Cheese slabs, and dynamic analysis of structures will be advantageous in this role.,
