QAQC & Operational Excellence Leader (Solar Projects Renewable Energy)

As a Senior Managerial position of QAQC & Operational Excellence at our Pune head office, you will be responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously enhancing the Quality function across system quality, supply quality, and field quality for utility-scale renewable energy projects. Your primary focus will be on architecting and institutionalizing a world-class QA & QC department, defining policies, processes, and metrics to ensure defect-free, compliant, and high-performance assets are delivered by EPC partners. Your role will involve setting up the QA & QC department structure, roles & responsibilities, and resourcing plan aligned with project pipelines. You will develop and deploy an Integrated Management System (IMS) encompassing ISO standards and industry-specific requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for authoring and maintaining quality manuals, project quality plans, field quality plans, and inspection & test plans. In terms of system quality management, you will lead certification processes, audits, and implement a digital Quality Management Information System for tracking non-conformances and supplier performance. You will also be involved in risk management activities such as risk assessments and quality risk controls. For the supply quality assurance aspect, you will define vendor qualification criteria, manage vendor audits, and develop inspection strategies to ensure zero-defect deliveries. Collaborating with procurement and engineering teams, you will work towards driving cost-effective quality improvements and supplier development initiatives. In the field quality control domain, you will oversee site quality, non-conformance management, and commissioning readiness activities. Your role will also involve deploying Lean Six Sigma initiatives, establishing business excellence frameworks, and leading continuous improvement efforts across projects. As a leader, you will engage in cross-functional collaboration, represent the company in regulatory audits, and focus on team development by recruiting and upskilling a high-performing QA & QC team. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, advanced certifications in Quality, and at least 15 years of experience in QA & QC and Operational Excellence roles within renewable energy projects. Your technical skills should include proficiency in QMS software, ERP modules, and industry standards.
