QA/QC Advisor (EPC)

We are hiring QA/QC Advisor

Role & responsibilities

1. Serve as the technical representative of the company for all civil QA/QC-related matters before the clients technical team and construction management.

2. Advise the Quality Manager and Civil QA/QC team on quality strategies, inspection techniques, and problem-solving during civil construction and handover phases.

3. Provide oversight of civil works, including earthworks, concrete foundations, underground piping, roads, drainage, buildings, and structural steel installation.

4. Ensure integration of civil QA/QC activities with other EPC disciplines to avoid rework, delays, and interface conflicts.

5. Review and approve quality documents such as ITPs, Method Statements, Concrete Mix Designs, Material Submittals, Lifting Plans, and inspection checklists.

6. Verify compliance with international codes and standards: ACI 318, ACI 301, ASTM standards, BS 8110, BS 5950, AWS D1.1, ISO 9001, and Guyana regulatory requirements.

7. Oversee supplier and subcontractor QA/QC for civil works, including review of fabrication quality plans and participation in audits at vendor or yard locations.

8. Support field teams in resolving non-conformities, deviations, and punch list issues, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.

9. Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and operations readiness teams to ensure civil works are mechanically complete and fully documented for handover.

10.Participate in quality audits, readiness reviews, and client surveillance inspections.

11.Guide QA/QC inspectors in sampling, concrete pouring supervision, curing controls, rebar inspections, compaction testing, and structural steel inspections.

12.Maintain documentation and traceability of all civil activities to support smooth mechanical completion and turnover.

13.Capture lessons learned and feed back into the corporate knowledge system for continuous improvement on future EPC projects.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in civil QA/QC roles, with proven background on EPC projects in power, oil & gas, petrochemical, or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor (preferred).
• ACI Certified Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I (preferred).
• AWS D1.1 / CSWIP (for structural steel welding inspection preferred).
• National or international registration as a Civil Engineer (e.g., PE, CEng) is a plus.
