Job Description

Position Summary

Software Tester

Key Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Execute manual and/or automated tests across different platforms.
Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
Perform different types of testing: functional, regression, integration, usability, compatibility, and performance testing.
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
Validate bug fixes and provide clear re-test results.
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and reviews in Agile environments.
Contribute to improving the overall QA process and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, STLC, and SDLC.
Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, and test reports.
Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, qTest).
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Exposure to performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner).
