Job Description

Position Purpose

Purpose: Selected candidate will lead and contribute to test validation of Foreign exchange deal booking Application alongside other test analyst across Bengaluru and Chenna. He/she will be responsible for QA on existing regression as well as new functional changes to keep up with the demands of the business and technological advancements.

The application is multi-tiered, primarily developed in C++, .Net with strong usage of Oracle PL/SQL, IBM MQ and Type scripting. The test automation uses Selenium with python scripts on Robot framework

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Should have hands-on experience on Selenium automation with python scripts with the Robot Framework

Experience in automation of Robot framework

Experience in writing basic Sql queries (apply Joins to extract data)

Write Functional and Technical Test cases for FX Deals

Oversee the QA team's daily activities ensuring that testing is aligned with project requirements

Improve design and customize automated testing frameworks using Selenium for web applications and integrating these scripts with the Robot Framework Robot Framework

Reduce the execution and result analysis time to facilitate quicker Go decisions for a release.

Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring that tests run automatically with each build or deployment

Analyze test results, identifying and troubleshooting failures, and reporting defects found during automated testing.

Work closely with development teams to ensure that defects are properly documented, prioritized, and resolved.

Provide training and mentorship to junior team members on automated testing tools, contributing to the growth and development of the QA team.

Contributing Responsibilities

Adhere to agile team practices and processes.

Contribute to regression testing for the release

Ensure all the Jira/Requirements for the release are tested within timeliness and schedule.

Maintain quality of deliverable

Autonomous

Ability to work within tight deadlines

Must have good analytical skills

Status reporting to technical and functional managers.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Expertise in Selenium, Python, Robot test framework, JIRA and

Good knowledge of RDBMS / SQL.

Should have good communication skills

Possess the ability to explain and articulate defect and link to functionality

Specific Qualifications (if required)

10+ years work experience in Quality Assurance
At least 5+ years work experience in Test Automation using Selenium
