Job Title: QA Team Lead Location: Malakpet, Hyderabad Job Type: Full-time Experience: 5-7 Years as a QA Team Lead Department: Quality Assurance Reports To: QA Manager Job Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced QA Team Lead with 5-7 years of team leadership experience to drive the quality assurance process within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in manual and automated testing , excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to improve product quality and testing efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Leadership Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables. Establish and enforce QA best practices, processes, and methodologies. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback. Work closely with the development and product teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards are met. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the QA team. Test Planning Execution: Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and frameworks. Oversee the design, development, and execution of test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworks. Ensure adequate test coverage for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard defect tracking tools. Collaborate with development teams to perform root cause analysis and ensure timely bug fixes. Automation Process Improvement: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks for efficient test execution. Continuously evaluate and improve test processes, tools, and technologies. Advocate for test automation and DevOps integration (CI/CD pipelines). Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing. Collaboration Reporting: Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align testing efforts with business goals. Provide regular test reports, defect analysis, and quality metrics to leadership. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and security best practices where applicable. Required Skills Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience as a QA Team Lead , leading and managing a QA team. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and best practices . Hands-on experience with automation testing tools ( Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, Appium ). Expertise in test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar . Experience with performance testing tools ( JMeter, LoadRunner, Locust ) . Proficiency in API testing tools ( Postman, Pytest, REST Assured, SoapUI ). Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices ( Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes ). Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies . Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced Level) is a plus. Experience in cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is desirable. Experience in security testing is an added advantage.
