Job Title: QA Engineer / Quality Assurance Specialist Customer Complaint & Quality Support South Zone

Job Summary

QA Engineer / Specialist

Location

WFH in Chennai or Hosur, must be willing to travel to customers in south zone AP/Telangana/TN/Kerala/Karnataka. Major customers are in Chennai, then hosur.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Complaint Management

  • Receive, document, and analyze customer complaints related to wire and cable products.
  • Conduct thorough

    investigations

    and perform

    root cause analysis (RCA)

    to identify quality issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Production, R&D, Quality Control) to resolve customer complaints.
  • Implement

    corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

    to eliminate recurring quality issues.
  • Provide

    timely responses

    and resolutions to customer complaints, ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Aim for relationship building with customers to ensure issues arent escalated and are solved by timely local response.

2. Quality Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor

    product quality

    through regular audits, inspections, and testing.
  • Identify and implement

    process improvements

    to enhance quality standards.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain

    quality records

    , including non-conformances, corrective actions, and test results.
  • Prepare

    quality reports

    and present findings to management.
  • Develop and update

    work instructions, SOPs, and quality manuals

    .

Key Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in

    Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field

    .

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in

    quality assurance

    or

    customer complaint handling

    in the

    wiring harness/wire and cable industry

    .

Technical Skills

  • Basic Knowledge of

    wire and cable manufacturing processes

    (extrusion, stranding, insulation, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of

    wiring harness process

    (cutting/crimping)
  • Proficiency in

    RCA tools

    (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, 8D, FMEA).
  • Familiarity with

    quality standards

    (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IEC, UL, RoHS, REACH).
  • Experience with

    testing equipments

    (tensile tester, spark tester, HV tester, flame test, etc.).
