Job OverviewWe are looking for a Storage QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python-based QA automation, storage technologies, and solid understanding of the SAN (Storage Area Network) domain.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks, validating storage features, and ensuring product reliability and performance. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python for storage systems and components. Perform functional, regression, system, and performance testing on storage products. Work with SAN environments, including configuration, troubleshooting, and validation of storage arrays, fabrics, and connectivity. Participate in requirement reviews and contribute to test planning and strategy. Analyze test results, identify bugs, and collaborate closely with development and product teams for issue resolution. Create detailed test documentation, including test cases, test reports, and automation guidelines. Set up and manage test environments involving storage systems, switches, hosts, and related tools. Ensure high product quality through continuous improvement of test coverage, automation, and processes. Provide root-cause analysis and debugging support for complex storage issues. Required Skills Qualifications3-6 years of hands-on experience in QA and test automation. Strong proficiency in Python for automation and scripting. Solid understanding and working experience with storage technologies (block storage, RAID, LUNs, multipathing, I/O performance, etc). Practical knowledge of SAN domain (FC protocols, zoning, LUN masking, HBAs, switches such as Brocade/Cisco). Experience with tools such as PyTest, Jenkins, Git, or similar CI/CD and automation systems. Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems and shell scripting. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams. Good to HaveExperience with storage virtualization or cloud storage. Knowledge of NAS protocols (NFS, SMB) or object storage. Exposure to performance testing tools and methodologies. Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker / Kubernetes). EducationBachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
