QA Engineer (Automation)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliability-focused professional to be a cornerstone of our software quality team at RFID4U. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy individual who excels at rigorous testing, bug hunting, and using technical tools to ensure high-quality releases in an Agile environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Testing Strategy & Execution

• Test Planning:

  Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

• Execution:

  Perform thorough manual testing (functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing) on web and/or mobile applications to ensure product stability.

• Bug Reporting:

  Identify, record, and document bugs using tracking tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps, ensuring all steps to reproduce are clear and actionable.

• Database Verification:

  Execute basic SQL queries to verify data integrity and validate backend processes.

2. Collaboration & Technical Analysis

• Process Improvement:

  Participate actively in Sprint Planning and Daily Stand-ups, advocating for quality at every stage of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• API Testing:

  Perform basic API testing to ensure backend reliability using tools like Postman or Swagger.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with developers and product managers to understand new features, resolve issues quickly, and ensure alignment on requirements.

• Automation Support:

  Assist in maintaining existing automation scripts or begin learning to write basic scripts using Selenium or Playwright to support future automation goals.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience:

  A dedicated 2 - 3 years of relevant professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.

• Job Type:

  Full-time.
• Industry Background: Must have prior experience with software products or IT services.

• Education:

  A Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), or a relevant Computer Science degree is preferred.

• Technical Proficiency:

  Hands-on experience with JIRA (or similar bug tracking tools), SQL for data verification, and Postman for API testing. Should have Exposure to automation (Selenium/Playwright.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively document bugs and collaborate with development teams.

• Core Competencies:

  Must be comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum process and possess a meticulous eye for detail.

• Location:

  Must currently reside in or be willing to commute to Sector - 44, Gurugram, Haryana.

• Travel:

  Must be flexible to adapt to business needs (though primarily an office-based role).
