DevOps Engineer (Azure Cloud & IoT Solutions)

About the Role

RFID4U is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our technology team. The candidate will play a key role in building, automating, and optimizing our cloud-based RFID and IoT platform hosted on Microsoft Azure. This role requires expertise in Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to support the development, deployment, and scaling of mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
• Deploy and manage containerized microservices on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Manage Azure IoT Hub, Event Hubs, Service Bus, and ensure secure integration across services.
• Work closely with developers to streamline builds, automated testing, and deployments.
• Implement DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning, secrets management (Azure Key Vault), and policy enforcement.
• Support high availability and scalability for IoT/RFID event processing solutions.
• Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with architects and developers on best practices and standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 35+ years of experience as a CO or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Services (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Boards).
• Strong skills in Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, and Helm.
• Expertise with Terraform and/or Bicep for Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices including blue-green/canary deployments.
• Familiarity with IoT solutions and Azure services (IoT Hub, Event Hub, Service Bus, Cosmos DB).
• Proficiency with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana a plus).
• Strong understanding of cloud security practices, identity management (Azure AD), and RBAC.
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
• Experience working with IoT/Edge devices in production environments.
• Knowledge of GitHub Actions and integration with Azure services.
• Background in supply chain, retail, or RFID technologies is a plus.
