QA Engineer 3

Role Overview: As a QA Engineer 3 at our company, you will be expected to utilize your technical and functional knowledge in your discipline. You should have a good understanding of the Amadeus business and its relation to your area of work. While working with existing procedures and guidelines, you will also provide inputs to support and influence decisions in your area. You will be responsible for making recommendations on new solutions, proposing improvements, and analyzing various sources of information. You will receive a moderate level of guidance and direction from your manager. Key Responsibilities: - Develop test strategy and test plan including functional and non-functional test cases, ensuring traceability with specifications and customer requirements - Ensure compliance of test strategy with CI/CD guidelines, Green IT guidelines, quality guidelines, and industry best practices - Design test cases, write test case scripts, prepare test environment, test data, and execute test cases - Provide sign-off on tested features based on defined exit criteria - Assess the need to add/update/remove test cases in regression and CI/CD pipeline based on new product features and metrics - Investigate PTRs, test fixes, and update test suites accordingly - Assess the necessity to automate test scripts, utilizing tools like Rest Assured, Cucumber for backend, and Selenium for frontend - Open defects for software or documentation, assign severity, and provide relevant investigation for defect fixing - Report and communicate test activities to stakeholders and provide visibility on testing milestones - Mentor newcomers and provide support to QAE peers - Share knowledge within the QA community and other stakeholders - Show accountability for project, product, or release quality control - Efficiently use QA tooling stack and frameworks, proposing improvements or new developments - Drive proposals to enhance quality processes in a constantly evolving development lifecycle framework - Participate in understanding, measuring, and reducing the environmental impact of tested applications and associated QA activities Qualification Required: - Strong technical and functional knowledge in QA - Experience in test strategy, test planning, test case design, and automation - Proficiency in using QA tools and frameworks - Ability to mentor and support team members - Excellent communication and reporting skills - Awareness and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives (Note: The additional details provided about the company's commitment to Diversity & Inclusion have been omitted from the final Job Description as per your request),
