QA Engineer 3

As a QA Engineer 3, you will be responsible for the following: - Participating in the development of new frameworks and administration of QA process, tools, and supporting technologies. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for web-based applications running on hardware devices. - Designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks. - Reviewing manual test cases for the relevant application and providing feedback on suitability for automation to the project team. - Supporting, maintaining, and enhancing all test case automation related activities during iterative development, system testing, and regression testing. - Integrating QA automation framework with the current development lifecycle and CICD pipeline and process. - Conducting exploratory testing to identify defects and ensure the overall quality of the applications. - Performing regression testing to validate software changes and updates across various hardware devices. - Developing and maintaining test data, test environments, and testing infrastructure. - Working closely with developers to identify, isolate, and report software defects in a clear and concise manner. - Continuously improving test processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Participating in the software development lifecycle to provide early feedback and ensure quality is embedded from the beginning. - Utilizing platform engineering knowledge to enhance the testing infrastructure and optimize automated testing processes. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience (5+ years) as a QA Automation Engineer or a similar role in web-based application testing. - Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. - Proficiency in developing automated test scripts using languages like Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript. - Experience with backend/API automation using any relevant framework. - Hands-on experience with BDD framework like Cucumber or similar. - Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, or similar. - Experience with testing web-based applications on hardware devices. - Familiarity with ASP.NET, Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript technologies. - Solid understanding of software development and version control systems (e.g., Git). - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, Agile development environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - A passion for quality and a drive to continuously learn and improve.
