Position Summary / Overview:

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development

  : Design, code, and test analytics applications using Python, with strong emphasis on Core Python, OOP, and Functional Programming.

• Data Management

  : Handle large datasets from various sources such as MSSQL, Oracle, S3 (data lake), and Dremio (data lakehouse) using Python ORM frameworks.

• Data Manipulation

  : Perform advanced data manipulation using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.

• Testing & Debugging

  : Identify, debug, and resolve issues and bugs in codebase effectively.

• Collaboration

  : Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

• Agile Development

  : Follow Agile methodologies including Scrum, participate in sprints, and apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.

• Documentation

  : Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of the codebase and development processes.

Skills & Qualifications

• Python Proficiency

  : Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Python development. Expertise in Core Python, Object-Oriented Programming, Functional Programming, and libraries like Pandas & NumPy is mandatory.

• ORM Expertise

  : Strong experience working with Python ORM frameworks for handling relational data.

• Database Knowledge

  : Good working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including experience with data platforms like MSSQL, Oracle, and tools like Dremio.

• Data Lakes

  : Experience with data lakes (e.g., Amazon S3) and data lakehouses.

• Testing & Debugging

  : Familiarity with unit testing, TDD, and debugging best practices.

• CI/CD

  : Understanding of continuous integration and deployment processes, preferably on Azure or AWS.

• Soft Skills

  : Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
