Role Description

SkillzenLoop is seeking a logic-driven Python Software Developer Intern to join our engineering team. In this role, you will focus on building robust backend services, automating internal workflows, and working with data structures using Python. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your coding skills to production-level software and learn how to write scalable, "Pythonic" code in a professional environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.

• Backend Support: Assist in building and optimizing server-side logic and database interactions using frameworks such as Django or Flask.

• Data Processing: Write efficient code to handle data parsing, cleaning, and integration from various APIs and file formats.

• Debugging: Identify and resolve software bugs, and perform unit testing to ensure the stability of the codebase.

• Collaboration: Work with the product team to understand requirements and translate them into functional Python modules.

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing or a recent graduate of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Core Skills: Strong proficiency in Python 3 and an understanding of its unique features (decorators, generators, list comprehensions).

• Frameworks: Basic knowledge of web frameworks (Django, Flask, or FastAPI) and libraries like Requests or Beautiful Soup.

• Database Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and basic understanding of ORMs.

• Version Control: Competency in using Git for managing code changes and collaboration.

• Mindset: A strong problem-solving attitude and a commitment to writing clean, readable code (PEP 8 standards).
