Role Overview: You are being hired as a highly skilled backend Python developer to join the AI Innovation team at SS&C Technologies. Your main responsibilities will include designing, coding, and maintaining cutting-edge AI innovations for both end clients and internal stakeholders. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering scalable and robust software that drives digital transformation within the financial services industry. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-performance Python-based web applications and microservices as part of the AI Innovation program. - Show a serious enthusiasm for emerging technology and its real-world application, particularly in AI technologies like predictive modeling, AutoML, and transformer models. - Collaborate closely with product management, business analysts, and other developers to deliver high-quality software that meets client requirements. - Drive the adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and software architecture to ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability. - Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to established coding standards and architectural guidelines. - Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve SS&C's digital product offerings. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack, ensuring minimal disruption to the business. - Contribute to the strategic planning of the Digital Development function, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, STEM, or a related field. - 3+ years of experience in Python development, focusing on building enterprise-level applications. - Strong expertise in Python, Django, and RESTful API design. - Understanding of AI, recent developments in GenAI, common use cases, and how available models and tools can be incorporated and served through backend services. - Proven experience in designing and developing microservices architectures. - Deep understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices. - Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) and their integration with back-end services. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Proficient in database design and development, including experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.,
