Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Python Developer to join our growing engineering team. This role will focus on building and maintaining scalable, performant web applications using open-source technologies, including CherryPy, Python, PostgreSQL, and Bootstrap. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and the CherryPy Web Framework

• Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using Bootstrap 5 and pure JavaScript

• Design and manage data schemas and queries with PostgreSQL (v14)

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers

• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and documentation

• Monitor application performance and optimize for speed and scalability

• Participate in technical planning and architecture discussions

• Contribute to open-source initiatives and best practices within the team

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack or backend development

• Proficiency in Python, particularly in server-side coding

• Strong experience with CherryPy and building RESTful APIs

• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL (v14 or similar)

• Front-end development experience with Bootstrap 5 and JavaScript (ES6+)

• Familiarity with Git, code review processes, and agile methodologies

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Nice to Have

• Experience with Node.js and asynchronous event-driven applications

• Hands-on experience as a DBA or in database performance tuning

• Exposure to React.js (future projects will migrate toward React)

• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux-based environments
