Python Backend Engineer

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: - Demonstrating expertise in Python and FastAPI for developing microservices, as well as proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js for GraphQL/RESTful API interfaces. - Utilizing hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform, along with working knowledge of Kubernetes/Argo CD for deployment and troubleshooting purposes. - Designing and maintaining GitHub Actions pipelines, and implementing OpenTelemetry for effective monitoring and debugging. - Owning specific microservices, including APIs, data models, and integrations, and ensuring their successful design. - Driving robust unit, integration, and end-to-end testing processes, as well as leading code reviews to maintain high quality standards. - Providing mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them through technical discussions and leading feature-related activities. Qualifications required for this role include previous financial experience and expertise in the following technologies: - Python and FastAPI - TypeScript and Node.js - GraphQL/RESTful API interfaces - AWS - Terraform - Kubernetes/Argo CD for deployment/troubleshooting - CI/CD via GitHub Actions pipelines - OpenTelemetry - Strong background in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing processes This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance.
