Python Backend Developer

As a highly skilled Python Backend Developer, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems to ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django) - Building and deploying scalable, loosely coupled, and independently deployable microservices - Developing and managing serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, and Step Functions - Implementing event-driven architectures and data processing pipelines - Collaborating with front-end developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality software - Ensuring code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews - Automating deployments using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform - Monitoring, debugging, and optimizing backend systems for performance and scalability To excel in this role, you should have: - 7+ years of backend development experience using Python - Strong experience in designing and implementing microservices - Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS - Proficiency in RESTful API design, JSON, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications - Experience with asynchronous programming in Python (e.g., asyncio, aiohttp, FastAPI) - Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline) - Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments - Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean code practices, and Agile methodologies Nice to have skills include: - Experience with GraphQL or gRPC - Exposure to monitoring/logging tools like CloudWatch, ELK, or Prometheus - Knowledge of security best practices in API and cloud development - Familiarity with data streaming using Kafka or Kinesis This is a full-time position with in-person work location.
