Job Description: QA Automation Engineer (Python) Summary We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Python-based test automation and a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Pytest, Robot, Behave) and a solid background in Linux environments. Knowledge of traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent) and Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols testing is a plus. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can design, develop, and execute automated test suites to ensure software quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute Python-based automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. Apply OOP concepts to build modular, reusable, and scalable test frameworks. Work with Pytest, Robot, or Behave to design and enhance test automation frameworks. Execute tests on Linux-based systems and troubleshoot environment-related issues. Collaborate with development teams to identify, report, and track defects. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation. Conduct Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols testing (e.g., Ethernet, VLAN, IP, TCP/UDP, routing protocols). Utilize traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent) for network performance and stress testing (preferred). Document test cases, results, and automation processes. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in QA automation with a focus on Python-based test development. Strong knowledge of OOP concepts (Classes, Inheritance, Polymorphism, etc.). Hands-on experience with Pytest, Robot Framework, or Behave. Proficiency in working with Linux/Unix environments. Familiarity with networking protocols (Layer 2/Layer 3) and related testing methodologies. Analytical mindset with strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) is a plus. Nice to Have Exposure to traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent, etc.). Knowledge of REST API testing and Selenium for web automation. Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
