Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled SVT/PV Engineer to design, automate, and execute test strategies for Cienas Packet Optical products. The role focuses on OTN Transport and Switching, automation frameworks, and Network Management Systems (NMS). Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for telecom networks. Design and implement automation scripts (TCL/Python). Create and manage test plans using manual and automated techniques. Perform defect analysis and collaborate with design teams for resolution. Ensure testing is aligned with industry standards (ITU-T, IETF, IEEE, ANSI). Must-Have Skills & Qualifications: Strong expertise in OTN Transport & Switching. Proficiency in test automation (TCL/Python). Experience with telecom test equipment and network protocols. Sound debugging and defect analysis capabilities. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Optical Communications. Exposure to photonics, DWDM, NMS, and packet/TDM technologies.
