PYP Teacher Homeroom

As a Primary School Teacher, you will be supervised by the head of the primary school and responsible to the principal. Your primary responsibilities include: - Maintaining a personal and professional commitment to the school's core values, upholding professional ethical standards, especially in confidentiality. - Assisting the head of the primary school and the PYP coordinator in effectively communicating with parents. - Participating in the design, development, implementation, and review of the assessment and reporting system. - Supporting the school's implementation of appropriate practices in primary education. - Participating in professional development, contributing to staff training, and collaborating with others to build effective professional relationships. - Communicating effectively with parents regarding students" achievements and well-being, using school resources. - Maintaining ongoing data for report grading evidence and ensuring daily practices reflect high standards of research-supported instruction. - Viewing students as thinkers with their own theories, building on their prior understanding, knowledge, and skills, and empowering them to take responsibility and act. - Providing extra support to struggling students and challenging those who need it, and ensuring appropriate programs for students with learning differences. - Delivering relevant curriculum based on the age and subjects you teach, enhancing the professional standing of the teaching body, and planning teaching and differentiation based on students" capabilities and prior knowledge. Required qualifications/skills for this position include: - Teaching qualification - Relevant degree - Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme - Proficiency in spoken English Desired qualifications/skills: - Prior experience teaching the PYP, focusing on early years education - Experience teaching phonics and reading - PYP-focused professional development - High level of understanding of current research on children's learning and motivation skills - Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, requiring in-person work at the school location.,
