As a Primary School Teacher, you will be supervised by the head of the primary school and ultimately responsible to the principal. Along with adhering to the requirements outlined in your individual appointment terms and conditions of service, you will have specific responsibilities as follows: Maintaining a personal and professional commitment to the school's core values, upholding professional ethical standards including confidentiality. Assisting the head of the primary school and the PYP coordinator in effectively communicating with parents. Participating in the design, development, implementation, and review of assessment and reporting systems. Supporting the school's implementation of appropriate practices in primary education. Participating in professional development activities and contributing to regular staff training and meetings. Collaborating with colleagues to build effective professional relationships and communicating effectively with parents regarding students" achievements and well-being. Maintaining ongoing data for grading reports and ensuring that daily practices reflect high standards of research-supported instruction. Viewing students as thinkers with their own emerging theories, building on their prior understanding, knowledge, and skills, and using a variety of resources representing multiple perspectives. Empowering students to take responsibility and encouraging them to take action. Providing additional support to students who may be struggling academically or need further challenges. Ensuring that students with learning differences receive appropriate programs. Delivering the curriculum relevant to the age and subjects you teach and working towards enhancing the professional standing of the teaching body. Being aware of students" capabilities, prior knowledge, and planning teaching and differentiation accordingly. Requirements: Required qualifications/skills: - Teaching qualification - Relevant degree - Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme - Proficiency in spoken English Desired qualifications/skills: - Prior experience teaching the PYP, with a focus on early years education. - Experience teaching students phonics and learning to read. - Received PYP-focused professional development. - High level of understanding of current research on how children learn and ability to motivate students. - Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.,
