Purchase Officer

A purchasing officer is responsible for sourcing and buying goods or materials that are later resold or used as part of a business's daily operations. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Purchase Officer for our Mohali office to manage procurement for our highway construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in purchasing bulk materials such as Procuring goods for shop. The Purchase Officer will play a critical role in ensuring timely procurement at competitive rates and managing supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities: - Sourcing and purchasing highway materials like Aggregate, Procuring goods, Machines, Office material, etc. - Data Vendor identification, evaluation, and management. - Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions of contracts with suppliers. - Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. - Coordinating with project managers and site engineers to understand material needs. - Regularly updating inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking. This is a full-time position with benefits such as Provident Fund. The work schedule includes day shifts with weekend availability and a quarterly bonus.
