Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and estimate component costs based on engineering drawings.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials while balancing

  quality, delivery, and cost

  parameters.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives through alternate sourcing, negotiation, and value engineering.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors by assessing technical, commercial, and capacity strengths.
• Conduct monthly audits and regular performance evaluations of suppliers.
• Troubleshoot bottlenecks at the suppliers end and implement mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with the design department regarding changes or improvements in components or materials.
• Lead weekly review meetings on supplier performance, quality issues, and delivery timelines.
• Issue purchase orders aligned with customer requirements and project deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and transparent records of goods ordered, received, and dispatched to client sites.
• Ensure continuous process improvements within the procurement department.
• Take on additional assignments and special projects as directed by senior leadership.
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience as a Purchase Engineer/Manager in a manufacturing organization.
• In-depth knowledge of handling commodities like

  castings, forgings, fabrication materials, raw materials, and electrical parts.

• Strong negotiation and vendor development skills.
• Proficient in

  MS Excel and PowerPoint.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a team.
• Result-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
