Purchase Manager/Executive

Develops and implements purchasing strategies, negotiates with suppliers, and manages vendor relationships to acquire goods and services cost-effectively. Key responsibilities include overseeing procurement policies, managing budgets, and collaborating with other departments to ensure timely delivery and quality. Strong skills in negotiation, data analysis, risk management, and leadership are essential for success in this strategic role.

Key responsibilities

Strategic planning: Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to align with organizational goals.

Supplier management: Research, evaluate, select, and build relationships with vendors to ensure quality, timeliness, and competitive pricing.

Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best terms for the company.

Budget and cost control: Manage the purchasing department budget, track costs, and identify opportunities for savings.

Procurement execution: Process purchase orders, monitor stock levels, and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.

Risk management: Mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Team leadership: Plan and coordinate the work of other buyers and purchasing agents, and manage the purchasing team.

Data analysis: Analyze purchasing data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide reports to support decision-making.
