Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement short- and long-term procurement strategies.
  
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance for cost and value optimization.
  
• Forecast procurement requirements and manage budgets effectively.
  

2. Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers.
  
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
  
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and conduct periodic evaluations/audits.
  

3. Process & Compliance

• Establish and enforce procurement policies and internal controls.
  
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and corporate standards.
  
• Improve procurement workflows for efficiency and transparency.
  

4. Cost & Performance Management

• Track key KPIs: cost savings, delivery performance, cycle time, etc.
  
• Implement cost-reduction initiatives without affecting quality.
  
• Coordinate with Finance for budgeting and reporting.
  

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Project teams to understand requirements.
  
• Provide guidance on sourcing options and procurement best practices.
  
• Support key project initiatives through strategic sourcing.
  

6. Store Management

• Coordinate with stores for material planning and procurement.
  
• Monitor inventory to avoid shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence.
  
• Streamline storeprocurement processes for better traceability and documentation.
  

Role Fitment Criteria:

• Proven experience in procurement/sourcing (manufacturing/industrial preferred)
  
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills
  
• Knowledge of procurement systems, documentation, and compliance
  
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage deadlines
