Purchase Manager in Kolkata with 10 To 15 Years of Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the

  procurement and purchase operations

  for chemical, consumable, and engineering materials.
• Formulate and implement effective

  purchasing strategies

  ensuring cost optimization and continuity of supply.
• Oversee

  vendor development, evaluation, and management

  to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
• Prepare and finalize

  Purchase Orders, Job Orders

  , and related documentation in alignment with company policies.
• Ensure

  compliance with statutory norms

  such as Sales Tax/VAT, Way Bill, and procurement-related regulations.
• Manage

  Letters of Credit (LC)

  and

  Bank Guarantees

  in coordination with finance and vendors.
• Coordinate with internal departments for smooth supply chain operations and material flow.
  
• Maintain strong

  relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  to resolve procurement challenges.
• Provide

  leadership, mentoring, and team management

  support to the purchase department.
• Ensure adherence to quality and documentation standards;

  knowledge of ISO 17025:2010

  will be an added advantage.

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate

  with

  Masters in Material Management

  or

  MBA

  (mandatory).

• 10 to 15 years of experience

  in procurement or purchase management, including at least

  5 years in a leadership role

  .
• Proven experience in handling

  chemical, consumable, and engineering materials procurement

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  vendor management, statutory compliances

  , and

  supply chain processes

  .
• Proficiency in

  MS Office

  , documentation, and ERP-based procurement systems preferred.
