We are seeking to appoint a purchase manager with operative procurement experience of 15

years in the Axles industry. As a purchase manager, you are expected to ensure efficient

procurement of parts in a transparent and fully accountable manner, ensuring compliance with

financial procedures, value for money and justifiable use of funds. You must have basic

knowledge of engineering, product category, process, defects. Knowledge of costing of

different commodities. Must be aware of supplier base local as well as out-station. Knowledge

of technique for cost reduction is a must and good negotiation skills.

The purpose and objective of the role:

1. You would be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities related to suppliers dealing with Castings, Forgings, Sheet metal, Fabrication, and Machining

2. This position has mana

gement responsibilities looking after a procurement team of 3.

3. Develop and coordinate annual procurement plans in collaboration with the Procurement leadership. You will coordinate procurement activities ensuring all processes are in-line with Company procurement policies and guidelines.

4. You will drive your commodities towards a sustainable supply solution that fulfils the requirements of cost, quality and delivery. You will have continuous interaction with

your colleagues and business partners in India and Italy purchasing teams. You will work

collaboratively with people from other departments and bring our ideas to reality.

5. You will work with clear savings targets and precise project timelines

by collaborating with other teams and chart the plan for your initiatives. Monitor

business trends and product availability to pay the best price without sacrificing quality.

6. Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for parts procured.

Identify and research potential new suppliers. Research new products and suppliers to

meet the organizations goals.

7. Develop and implement strategies for procurement. Work collaboratively with people

from other departments and bring ideas to reality. Work with clear savings targets and

precise project timelines. Hence, results have a huge impact on the Efficiency of

Procurement department.

8. To develop the capacity of all appropriate staff in your team within procurement. To

manage the Procurement team and ensure employee satisfaction by clearing a

collaborative work environment.
