Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute efficient purchasing strategies for raw tea leaves, packaging items, and factory supplies.
• Source and negotiate with reliable vendors to achieve the best quality and pricing.
• Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier lists, and pricing data.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with stores and production departments.
• Control purchasing budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Liaise with accounts for vendor payments and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory norms.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Purchase Manager or Senior Purchase Executive, preferably in the tea manufacturing or FMCG sector.
• Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/purchasing software.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, and vendor relations.
• Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and meet strict deadlines.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience in sourcing raw tea leaves, packaging materials, and engineering spares.
• Knowledge of local markets and suppliers in the North Bengal and Assam regions.
• Strong cost-control mindset and decision-making ability.
