Purchase Head

Key Responsibilities:

Material Procurement:

• Purchase all civil construction materials such as cement, sand, aggregates, steel, bricks, tiles, electrical/plumbing items, hardware, tools, and site consumables.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

Identify reliable vendors, compare quotations, negotiate rates, maintain long-term supplier relationships.

Price Negotiation & Cost Control:

Get competitive rates, manage bulk purchase discounts, reduce wastage, and ensure cost-effective buying.

Material Planning:

Coordinate with site supervisors/engineers and plan materials based on project schedule and daily site requirements.

Quality Check:

Ensure materials meet project specifications, quality standards, and approved brand guidelines.

Purchase Order Management:

Issue POs, track delivery timelines, follow up for timely material supply to site without work delay.

Inventory Monitoring:

Maintain stock records, check site consumption, prevent excess purchase, monitor returns/damages.

Documentation & Billing:

Maintain purchase logs, vendor bills, GRN, delivery challans, and coordinate with accounts team for payment processing.

Market Rate Updates:

Regularly monitor market price changes for steel, cement, and other materials and report to management.

Problem Resolution:

Handle supply delays, shortage issues, and material mismatch efficiently.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials and brands.
• Good negotiation and vendor relationship skills.
• Ability to understand site requirements and BOQ.
• Basic knowledge of measurements and specifications.
• Experience in working with site engineers and supervisors.
• Proficiency in Excel, purchase tracking, and documentation.
• Honest, disciplined, and able to work under tight timelines.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
