Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The Purchase Head will lead the sourcing and procurement function for the company, ensuring uninterrupted supply of Raw, Engineering Items, Packing Materials. The role demands strong expertise in chemical procurement, vendor development, and cost optimization, while maintaining quality, compliance, and timely availability of materials.

Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective and reliable procurement of chemicals, engineering, packing, and project items.
Vendor & Contract Management
Maintain optimal stock levels to meet production demand while minimizing holding costs.
Ensure timely delivery and logistics coordination, including imports and bulk chemical supply.
Manage procurement budgets and ensure continuous cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality
Regulatory & Documentation Responsibilities - Ensure timely renewals and compliance of licenses & certifications:
Monitor MSME vendor compliance and coordinate with Accounts team for timely updates.
Ensure GST compliance, reconciliation with supplier records, and documentation accuracy.

Preferred candidate profile

12 to 15 years of experience in procurement within Chemicals/Pharma Manufacturing Industry.

Strong exposure to chemicals raw material procurement and regulatory compliance.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management abilities.

Working knowledge of ERP procurement modules (SAP preferred).
