Purchase Executive

Job Summary

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services required by the organization at competitive prices while ensuring quality, timely delivery, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers
• Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and finalize purchases
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for timely deliveries
• Coordinate with Stores, Production, Accounts, and Quality teams
• Ensure materials are procured as per approved specifications and quantities
• Maintain purchase records, vendor data, and documentation
• Monitor inventory levels and support material planning
• Handle vendor billing coordination with Accounts
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements

Skills & Competencies

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Good knowledge of procurement processes and documentation
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, and purchase software
• Communication and coordination skills
• Cost-conscious and detail-oriented approach

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in any discipline (MBA / Diploma in Supply Chain preferred)

Experience

• 1–4 years in purchase/procurement role
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred

Preferred Industry Exposure

• Manufacturing / Textile / FMCG / Engineering

• Accuracy of purchase documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
