Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other criteria.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Purchase Planning:

  • Collaborate with various departments to determine procurement needs.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Forecast demand and ensure stock levels are maintained to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

Purchase Order Processing:

  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure accuracy in item descriptions, quantities, and pricing.
  • Track and manage open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions from various departments.

Cost Analysis and Negotiation:

  • Analyze pricing and cost structures to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost reduction goals.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed procurement decisions.

Quality Control:

  • Work with quality assurance teams to ensure purchased products meet quality standards.
  • Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in the procurement process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize carrying costs.
  • Implement inventory optimization techniques to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
