Purchase Engineer (Outsourcing)

As a Purchase Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include managing procurement activities associated with outsourced manufacturing parts and services. This involves identifying and assessing suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. You will collaborate closely with the production, quality, and design teams to align on material specifications and timelines. Additionally, your role will entail following up with vendors for dispatch, documentation, and delivery compliance, as well as evaluating vendor performance and fostering strong supplier relationships. Keeping meticulous procurement records, managing purchase orders, and tracking costs are essential aspects of this position. It is imperative to ensure that all outsourcing processes adhere to company standards and quality requirements. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry. Familiarity with engineering drawings, machining processes, and material specifications is crucial. Candidates with Quality Inspection experience are also encouraged to apply. Strong communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills are essential for success in this role. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is preferred.
