Purchase Assistant

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Assist in preparing and processing purchase requisitions (PRs) from site / project teams.

* Solicit quotes from multiple vendors / suppliers for required materials, equipment, services.

* Maintain a vendor database: vendor selection, vendor evaluation (quality, reliability, price).

* Prepare comparative statements of quotations; help in negotiating rates, terms, and delivery
schedules.

* Create and issue purchase orders (POs), follow up for order confirmation.

* Monitor delivery schedules; coordinate with logistics / vendors to ensure timely delivery.

* Update records of purchases: prices, delivery dates, payment terms, vendor performance.

* Work with accounts department for invoice processing, ensuring vendors are paid as per
contractual terms and after verification of deliveries.

* Assist in preparing reports / MIS: cost analyses, vendor performance, purchase variances,
forecast of material requirement.

Preferred candidate profile:

* Education: Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or any relevant field. (Diploma / certificate in procurement or supply chain is a plus.)

* Experience: Typically 35 years in purchase / procurement roles; experience in real estate, construction material procurement is preferred.

* Strong negotiation skills.

* Good communication skills.

* Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Office & ERP (especially Excel) for tracking, data entry, reports.

* Ability to multitask, follow up diligently, manage timelines.

* Some roles may need familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.
