Role Overview

As a Purchase Assistant, you will be part of the store team and will help deliver excellent customer service, maintain store visual standards, support sales processes and assist in day‑to‑day operations. You’ll receive in‑house training so even freshers are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products, sizes and fit, offering information about latest arrivals and promotions.
• Maintain the store floor: ensure merchandise is properly displayed, priced, tagged, folded/arranged, and shelves/racks are well‑stocked.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system and process customer transactions accurately (cash, card etc).
• Assist in receiving new stock, unpacking, tagging, arranging on the shop floor, and ensuring accurate inventory records.
• Keep the store clean, tidy and organized: back‑room, stock‑areas, sales‑floor, mirrors/fitting rooms.
• Handle customer queries or complaints politely; escalate to store supervisor/manager when needed.
• Use computer tools/spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel) for basic tasks such as stock lists, daily sales/excel sheets, attendance, reports.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications / Education:

• No specific course or formal educational qualification mandatory – All graduates, diploma holders or freshers are welcome.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Freshers are welcome (training will be provided).
• Or candidates with 1 to 2 years’ experience in retail/consumer‑facing roles will be preferred.

Skills & Attributes:Preferred:

• Good computer knowledge: e.g., comfortable using MS Excel, basic spreadsheets, data entry.
• Strong communication skills in Hindi, English and/or Kannada – ability to speak with customers in any of these languages is preferred.
• Customer‑service oriented, friendly, polite, patient and presenting a professional appearance.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment, handle multiple tasks, be flexible with shifts.
• Team player, reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Good physical stamina: standing for long hours, moving around the store, handling stock.
• Previous exposure to retail environment is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of fashion/apparel products, trends or merchandising is an advantage.
