Public Relations Trainee

Job Title: PR Trainee

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: 3-6 months of internship experience required

Responsibilities:

As a PR Trainee, you will play a pivotal role in helping with the planning, execution, and tracking of media trends for your clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cultivating and nurturing relationships with journalists, and influencers to secure media coverage and valuable opportunities.
• Executing PR strategies for clients, taking into account their goals and budgets.
• Assisting with crisis communication as needed.
• Identifying opportunities for sponsorships and advertising collaborations.
• Demonstrating expertise and experience in the media universe during your internships.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-6 months of intern experience in a PR agency setting.
• Proven track record of successfully executing PR strategies and securing media coverage. (Portfolio required)
• Proficiency in maintaining databases and coordinating PR activities efficiently.
• Knowledge and experience in building media lists, coverage trackers and dossiers.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends.

Skills Required

• Exceptional English language skills (written and verbal)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster connections with journalists, editors, influencers, and industry key opinion leaders.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of client accounts, and deliver results.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A genuine passion for staying informed about the PR landscape.
