Public Relations Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and professional Public Relations Officer (PRO) to manage and enhance the hospital’s public image, internal and external communications, and community engagement initiatives. The PRO will act as the primary point of contact between the hospital and the media, the public, and relevant stakeholders, ensuring accurate and positive representation of our services and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement PR strategies to promote the hospital’s services and achievements.
• Serve as the official spokesperson for media inquiries and public statements.
• Prepare press releases, media kits, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Manage the hospital's social media accounts and online presence.
• Organize and coordinate press conferences, public health campaigns, events, and hospital tours.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local media, government bodies, and community organizations.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare periodic PR performance reports.
• Address patient feedback and public concerns in coordination with the relevant departments.
• Ensure all public communications comply with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with marketing and HR teams for employee communication and branding.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in public relations, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in public speaking.
• Experience with media relations and crisis communication.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and ethical standards is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure.
