Role Description We are seeking an experienced Protein Bar Specialist to lead the development and production of our low-carb protein bars. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in crafting protein bars, a strong understanding of gelatin alternatives, and experience communicating with manufacturers to ensure product quality and consistency. (NO MANUFACTURER INVOLVED AT THIS STAGE) Responsibilities Develop and create low-carb protein bars using hands-on techniques, including mixing, shaping, and packaging. Formulate recipes that incorporate gelatin alternatives and meet low-carb dietary requirements. Perform baking processes for specific bar recipes as needed. Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure production aligns with quality standards and specifications. Conduct quality control checks to maintain consistency, taste, and nutritional value. Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in protein bar production and low-carb ingredients. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and supply chain. Requirements 2-5 years of hands-on experience in making protein bars. Knowledge of low-carb ingredients and gelatin alternatives for protein bar formulation. Experience with baking techniques relevant to protein bar production. Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Passion for health, nutrition, and innovative food products. Preferred Qualifications Experience scaling recipes from small-batch to large-scale production.
