Job Description

As an Associate Manager in Proposal Management within the Research Services Business Unit at Syngene International Ltd., your primary role will involve creating and delivering high-quality proposals for the Discovery Services and Translational & Clinical Research areas. You will play a crucial part in securing new business opportunities by efficiently preparing and presenting compelling project proposals to potential clients. Key Responsibilities: - Take complete end-to-end responsibility for the quality of proposals in the Research Services space, considering scope and time commitments. - Ensure timely delivery of high-quality proposals to the business development team. - Collaborate with technical and business development teams to create competitive pricing. - Handle requests for information and prepare responses for customers. - Gather inputs on scope of work, assumptions, and effort from the technical business unit team. - Coordinate with third-party vendors for quotations or information when necessary. - Maintain the deal tracker to update the status of ongoing deals. - Facilitate the timely execution of contractual agreements. - Assist in transitioning newly awarded deals to the project management team. - Contribute to the content library by submitting new content or updates through the official process. - Adhere to workplace environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements to ensure individual and team safety. Qualification Required: - M.Tech/Master's degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences, MBA is desirable. Technical/Functional Skills: - Proficiency in Research Services space. - Strong customer service skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. - Effective planning, multitasking, and prioritization skills with a focus on teamwork. - Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong organizational abilities. - Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and senior management. - Knowledge of pre-sales/proposal management functions. - Familiarity with environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices. Experience: - 08 to 12 years of experience in Pharma Contract Research Organization (CRO/CDMO) with a commercial inclination. - Experience in Proposal/Project management or Pre-sales functions is desirable. Behavioral Skills: - Attention to detail. - Team management skills. - Proactive team working capability.
