Proposal Coordinator (Engineering)

Proposal Coordinator

You will collaborate closely with proposal managers, the marketing team, business development/sales, and technical staff. The role involves working closely with senior staff to develop winning themes , and produce high quality compliant proposals. It also includes integrating new technologies and developing innovative deliverables across various platforms.

• Support Proposal Teams with the preparation of high - quality proposals and marketing materials, working with TRC strategic proposal, technical, marketing and graphics staff and teaming partners.

• Collect and compile information for Proposal Managers.

• W rite new material; rewrite existing material to emphasize sales themes; collect and compile information from other authors. Interview staff to customize resumes and project descriptions to meet proposal requirements and messaging.

• Support the company s Energy, Environmental, Infrastructure, and Intelligent Grid operating sectors on strategic pursuits, as well as market sector staff pursuits.

• Assist in the preparation of short-list interview presentations using PowerPoint and other media.

• Participate in developing partnerships and teaming.

• Support key company sales initiatives through market research, development of the TRC message, and preparation of presentations and other marketing material.

• Take an active role in the Strategic Team s process improvement and knowledge-sharing activities

• Implement proposal best pra ctices on every proposal effort undertaken.

• Preference given to APMP or SMPS certified candidates .

• Manage small to medium-complexity proposals with senior proposal staff.

• Support proposal enablement activities, such as our content management system updates, data entry, quality reviews and support, AI-tool testing, and other proposal tool support tasks.

• Collaborate with Proposal Visualization staff and proposal teams to transform complex documents into visually engaging, branded deliverables.

Experience:

• 3 5 years of experience in proposal development, writing, and management .

• Preference given to candidates with prior experience in business proposals or within AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) marketing.

Professional Portfolio:

• Submission of at least three (3) high-quality proposal samples demonstrating :

• Creativity and originality

• Strong messaging and professional aesthetics

• Clear ownership of work

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of sales proposal development

• Formatting and document refinement in MS Word

• Proficiency in transforming technical/narrative content into clear, supportive writing .

• Working knowledge of:

• Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects)

• Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

• AI/Gen AI prompt engineering and application

• Ability to create and edit templates, and presentations

• Familiarity with proposal tools , technologies, and best pra ctices (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• APMP Certified Professional (desirable).

• Experience in the consulting or AEC industry.

• Knowledge of production tools, document template design, and advanced multimedia tools.

• Experience with AI/Gen AI and/ or proposal content management systems are a plus.

• Fluent Knowledge of Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Adobe Products (particularly Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesign) are expected. Knowledge of QorusDocs is a plus.

• Proposal experience in the United States, Canada and/or the APAC (Asia-Pacific) countries is a plus.
