Property Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities: - Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring organized and up-to-date records through meticulous journal entries. - Maintain records of received tenants" rent and process invoices while complying with company policies. - Conduct regular bank reconciliations to identify and rectify discrepancies promptly. - Review and analyze account records, including credit memos, invoices, tenant billings, and cash receipts. - Provide tenant statements to update owners on revenue and expenditures. - Analyze forecasts to identify cash deficiencies and monitor rental notices at the beginning of a new operating year. - Track, categorize, and reconcile business expenses with proper documentation and approval. - Assist in preparing Monthly Trust Reconciliation reports and ensure compliance with accounting regulations. - Maintain well-documented financial records for audits and work closely with team members and clients for seamless financial operations. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Property Management Accountant. - Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). - Proficiency in property management accounting software such as Buildium, Appfolio, Propertyware, Rentwine, Yardi, and Entrata. - Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices. - Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
