Project Sales Manager For a building materials co at Chennai

Objective:

To drive business growth through project-based sales of steel Bar products by developing strong relationships with builders, contractors, architects, structural consultants, and project procurement teams across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, and manage project sales opportunities for steel bar in the assigned territory.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as builders, developers, contractors, architects, and government departments.
  
• Track and monitor major construction and infrastructure projects to ensure timely engagement and product positioning.
  
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through project and institutional sales.
  
• Generate demand through effective product presentations, technical support, and solution-based selling.
  
• Coordinate with distributors, channel partners, and internal supply chain teams to ensure smooth order execution and delivery.
  
• Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
  
• Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and establish market presence.
  
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and customer updates for management review.
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Education:

  Graduate in Engineering / Diploma in Civil / BBA / MBA (Marketing preferred).

• Experience:

  5-10 years of experience in

  project or institutional sales

  in the

  steel / building materials / construction

  industry.

• Industry Exposure:

  Preferably from steel bars, cement, construction chemicals, or related building materials.

• Skills & Attributes:

• Good knowledge of the Chennai and Tamil Nadu construction market.
  

Compensation:

Maximum gross up to 10 LPA + DA + Incentive
