Project Research Associate - Building & Carbon Specialist

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Chennai for a Project Research Associate - Building & Carbon Specialist. The role involves managing research projects, utilizing analytical skills, effective communication, research tasks, and project management responsibilities.

Skill and Knowledge

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the relevant field
• PHD or Master's degree or equivalent in Building Science / High Performance Buildings / Sustainable
• Design / Architecture / Civil Engineering / Construction technologies or equivalent
• Has technical expertise in the below:
• Thermo-physical properties of building materials
• Heat transfer in buildings
• Basic understanding of LCA and EPD documentations
• Well versed with existing local and internal standards for building energy + carbon quantification
• (ECBC, Net zero)
• Simulation expertise:
• Proficient in Rhino, Grasshopper, One click LCA, Pollination (mandatory)
• Use of EC3, Covetool would be an added advantage.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Proficient in conducting big data analysis
• Basic experience in MATLAB, python language will be a plus
• Experience with big data analysis and effective reporting
• Excellent oral / presentation and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as in teams
